Public Transportation

Wiener Linien has a very well-developed infrastructure. You can view routes or stops and buy tickets on the homepage or the app.

Form the Central Station to the University

From the Central Trainstation you can use the Wiener Linien, which the public transportation. The one-way ticket for this ride costs 2,40€ and you can buy it online, in an APP or at the train station.

At first take the Subway U1 with the direction Leopoldau. Leave the U1 at the Station Karlsplatz and change into the Tramway D (Nußdorf), 1 (Prater Hauptallee) or 71 (Schottentor U). From there it is a 5 minute walk to the Institute for Labour and Social Law as well as the REWI-Auditorium.

You ca take a Taxi as well, it takes around 10 minutes and costs about 15€.

From the Airport to the University

You can travel from the airport to the University via public transportation, which would probably take about 40 minutes or via Taxi which takes around 30 minutes and costs around 30€ per trip.

For the first option you have to take a train from the airport to the city center. There are two different train options. The slightly faster but more expansive one is the CAT train, the round trip costs 24,90€.

The other one is the S7/REX7 from the ÖBB and it costs 8,80€ round trip. You will stop with both options at Wien-Mitte, there you have to change into the subway U4 – direction Heiligenstadt, exit at the stop Schottenrig and enter the Subway U2 - direction Schottentor and exit at the same station. From there it is a 5 minute walk to the Institute for Labour and Social Law as well as the REWI-Auditorium.
